This is a long, high-profile Picatinny rail designed exclusively for the Steyr AUG A3 M1 platform and will not fit older AUG A3 A2, A1, or USR receivers. Installation requires removal of the existing rail using a 4mm hex head tool; the rail is secured with blue thread locker and should not be heated during removal. This rail provides additional mounting options for optics and accessories on the AUG A3 M1 platform.
