The Steyr SSG 08 is a bolt-action repeating rifle chambered in .300 Winchester Magnum with a 23.6-inch cold-hammer-forged heavy barrel, designed for long-range target shooting and tactical applications. It features an adjustable stock, polymer double-stack 8-round detachable box magazine, single-stage 3.5 lb trigger, and integral 15.9-inch Picatinny rail for optics mounting. The rifle is finished in Mannox with a 25CrMo4 steel action and 1:10 RH twist rifling.
