This is a thread protector designed for AR-10 platform rifles chambered in .308/7.62 NATO with 5/8x24 TPI barrel threads. The silver-finished steel protector screws onto the muzzle to protect threads when a muzzle device is not installed, and can be easily removed for mounting suppressors or other muzzle attachments.
