Claybuster wads are designed for 12 gauge shotshell reloading using 1 to 1-1/8 oz loads, supplied as 500 per bag. These wads fill extra space in the hull to prevent shot and powder movement, act as a barrier between powder and shot charges, protect shot from hot gases, and seal gases behind the shot for proper powder ignition.
